In my spare time...

Let's do this. I am starting a blog. I have a lot of ridiculous things to say, so why not? Writing in a journal is so 19th century.
Things I have to do right now that I am avoiding:
My "strict" 10:00pm bed time so I can wake up at 6:00am.
drafting emails to send out to potential vendors tomorrow morning
write letters (yes, the real ones) to each of my little sisters
finish my laundry
clean my room
put fenders on my bike
start planning a huge birthday party for a friend

What am I doing you may be wondering?
I am listening to old school Alanis- acoustic... This prompted me to look up 1990's fashion for a potential themed party. Then I started watching music videos. Now I am sending said videos to my besties. I am drinking juice. I have a thing with juice... and I have frequent pregnancy cravings for fruit in general. I buy frozen fruit because sometimes fresh fruit is unmanageable... Peeling. composting. messes. bites that are too big. You understand. I started organizing my box of craft things and then making a secondary box of less used craft things. I am crafting ideas for a new sweatshirt...

Today, I worked from home. I got much done. I was proud of my diligence and my ability to complete tasks without having to leave the house to go get coffee or a 4000 calorie pastry. To reward myself for displaying such economic savvy I treated myself to getting new brakes ($172), a tea ($1.95), and new bike fenders ($32). No big deal. When I embark on real big kid days where I do things I only envisioned myself doing once I was a mom with a van I like to wear a certain sweatshirt that I made from 3rd grade. It has dog patches outlined in glitter and my name on it... Just in case I needed a reminder. Sadly, it still fits. Quite well. I like to do grown up things in it because I get strange looks in public.

I ate lentils for the first time this evening and then discussed my new brakes with the other members of the gay commune that I live in. Another story in itself...

I have big ambitions kids. Huge ones. But now that I am in my Run DMC ADIDAS track pants from high school the only thing I will be doing is listening to Alanis's friend KD Lang... Constant Craving and passing out.

Yay for a blog that will distract me from real life.
